Vehicle wraps are a cost-effective way to advertise your business, product, or service. Wraps can increase brand recognition, build credibility, and increase sales. In addition, a vinyl wrap protects your vehicle’s paint from scratches and UV damage.
It takes about a week to fully wrap a vehicle. At wrapstar we take apart all the exterior fixtures to ensure a seamless installation. Then we thoroughly clean your vehicle with special chemicals to insure there is no dirt or grime hindering the adhesion of vinyl, paying close attention to corners and cracks. That process is usually completed by day 1, then your vehicle wrap is ready to install. After installation your vehicle wrap is post heated with a heat gun or torch to ensure all edges are sealed. Then the vehicle will be put back together and wiped down for delivery.
The lifespan of a vehicle wrap depends on various factors, such as the quality of the wrap material, the installation process, and the level of maintenance. Generally speaking, a high-quality wrap can last between 5 to 7 years with proper care.
TogYes, our vehicle wraps are designed to be removable. When you’re ready to remove the wrap, the installer will use special tools and techniques to remove the vinyl film. Good question! Vehicle wraps are a great way to personalize or advertise your car, but they do require some maintenance to stay looking their best. Here are some general tips to take care of your vehicle wrap:
- Wash your vehicle wrap regularly with a mild soap and water solution. Avoid using harsh cleaners or high-pressure sprayers as they can damage the wrap.
- Dry the vehicle wrap with a microfiber cloth or chamois to prevent water spots.
- Avoid parking your car in direct sunlight for extended periods as this can cause the colors to fade and laminate properties to break down quicker.
- Try to avoid parking under trees or near bushes, as sap and bird droppings can be difficult to remove and may damage the wrap.
- If you notice any damaged areas or bubbles in the wrap, get them repaired as soon as possible to prevent further damage.
By following these tips, you can ensure that your vehicle wrap stays looking great for years to come!
We do not suggest using a high pressure car wash system because it could cause water to get under the edges and corners of your vehicle wrap and potentially scratch or damage the wrap.
The short answer is no we can not wrap over peeling paint or rust. Vinyl film adheres directly to what is underneath it. It will not stick to rust and if you have peeling clear coat or paint, it could flake off and loosen the vehicle wrap film. We can make suggestions on the best way to prepare your vehicle for a new vehicle wrap.
A vehicle wrap is a durable thin material with a paint- like finish. It will not cover dents or large rock chips. It’s possible that small imperfections will be hidden by vehicle wrap. Light scratches will be covered by vehicle wrap film.
